1. Create an account
- Create a free account with your e-mail address, then confirm it via the verification link we send you.
- The free plan lets you start right away; the paid plan raises the file-size, transfer and retention limits.
2. Send a file
- Drop a file in the panel — it uploads straight to secure storage with a progress bar.
- Create a transfer link, optionally protected with a password, an expiry time and a download limit.
- Send the link by e-mail directly from the app, or copy it and share it any way you like.
3. Transfers & retention
- A transfer is one download of a file you shared; your plan defines how many transfers you have per month.
- Files expire automatically after your plan's retention period — the expiry date is shown next to every file.
Frequently asked questions
The things people ask us most often, answered in one place.
How long are my files kept?
Files expire automatically: after 3 days on the free plan and after 30 days on the paid plan. The expiry date is shown next to every file in your panel.
What is a transfer?
One transfer is one download of a file you shared, by a recipient. The free plan includes 3 transfers per month, the paid plan 200. The counter resets every month.
Is it secure? Where is my data?
Yes. Files go to secure storage in the European Union 🇪🇺 and never leave it. You can protect links with a password, limit downloads and set an expiry date.
Do recipients need an account?
No. Recipients just open the link and download the file — no registration, nothing to install. Only the sender needs a (free) account.
How big a file can I send?
Up to 50 MB per file on the free plan and up to 20 GB on the paid plan. That limit is per file — there is no cap on your total space; what your plan does limit is the number of transfers per month and how long files are kept.
Can I protect a link with a password and limit downloads?
Yes, and the three controls are independent: a password the recipient has to type, a maximum number of downloads after which the link stops working, and an expiry date of your own — on top of your plan's retention period.
Can I send the link by e-mail straight from WebDisk Send?
Yes. Enter the recipient's address in the panel and we send them a WebDisk-branded message with the link. You can also just copy the link and pass it on any way you like.
What happens to a file once it expires?
The link stops working and a daily job removes the file from storage — it is not kept just in case. Anything you delete yourself in the panel is gone at that moment.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
The paid plan is a monthly subscription you start in the panel after signing in; payments are handled by Stripe. You can cancel at any time — the plan then runs to the end of the period you already paid for. Prices are net, VAT is added at checkout.
